Violin Concert w/Philadelphia Orchestra's Hirono Oka

A concert featuring Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Hirono Oka accompanied by Jeffrey Uhlig on piano will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31 at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 2871 Barndt Rd at Sumneytown Pike, Harleysville. Hirona Oka, a native of Japan, has been a member of the first section of the Philadelphia Orchestra since 1990. She studied at Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and San Francisco Conservatory and has appeared with numerous orchestras and at music festivals throughout the country. Jeffrey Uhlig regularly performs with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as the New York Philharmonic and The Metropolitan Opera. He has appeared in concerts throughout the United States and also in Russia. He received his master’s degree in music from West Chester University.
