COVID has changed you. What have you lost in COVID times? What gifts have you discovered? You might want to spend some time reflecting on grief and loss so that you can move on to discover what you have gained during the last 18 months. Join our facilitator, David Hoover for a workshop we are calling Lost and Found. Through a variety of spiritual practices and safe small group discussions, participants will be guided to explore the toll and the treasure of this pandemic.

David Hoover is a nationally known retreat and workshop facilitator. David’s expertise is in creating safe spaces to talk about important topics. He is trained in Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s The Way of Love curriculum. He is a certified Brené Brown Daring WayTM facilitator. Previous workshops have included: Spiritual Practices for Everyday Life, Seeing God Everywhere, and Grief and You. He has led parish-wide retreats in person at the Claggett Center, Maryland, and at Shrine Mont, Virginia. David facilitated the first diocesan LGBTQ retreat (on Zoom) for the Diocese of Virginia. He founded an organization for gay men called GaySpirits. Over the course of fifteen years, he facilitated twenty-five GaySpirits retreats, reaching over three-hundred participants. David is a therapist in private practice in Richmond, Virginia. He has a Masters of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Louisville. He has provided spiritual direction to individuals for over fifteen years, having trained at Washington National Cathedral and Richmond Hill RUAH Program.
