As the holiday season draws to a close, visit St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Roxborough for a festive and contemplative evening of poetry, singing, scripture, and fellowship. (Anyone in the diocese interested in joining the lessons & carols choir may email St. Tim’s Choir Director Luke Staisiunas at sttimsmusician@gmail.com.)

St. Timothy’s enjoys the distinction of being one of Philadelphia’s few nineteenth-century buildings with working period gaslights, which are lit only a few times per year during the Christmas season. This gaslit service will begin with a meditative Celtic harp prelude as well as a reading of Edna St. Vincent Millay’s classic holiday poem "The Ballad of the Harp Weaver" before recounting the story of our faith as told in scripture and song. Following the service, a fellowship hour will be held in St. Timothy’s parish hall.

Conclude your holiday season with this enchanting experience of faith and spirituality.
