The Philadelphia Quartett Club, 1075 Southampton Road, Philadelphia
Dinner, dessert and dancing!
In the past and present, The Church of the Advocate plays a critical role in the life of our community. Under the Rev. Paul Washington's leadership, the church played a significant role in the civil rights movement in Philadelphia; ordained the first women into The Episcopal Church and continues today to serve its community through long-term meal ministry and numerous outreach programs. Designated as a National Historic Place, the church wants to preserve the artwork for which it is noted. Come out to support this effort on 9/8. This event will honor the legacy of Bishop Barbara Harris, first female bishop in The Episcopal Church, who served at the Church of the Advocate and in this diocese.
Tickets for the event are $100 each. Please contact Karen Ragland, firstname.lastname@example.org or call 215-978-8000.
