Episcopalians are no different than others in their love of animals. Expressing this love is also an essential expression of our faith. God calls us to care for all of creation – including animals. Our diocese has a unique opportunity to live into this call and meet a need in a new and innovative way by incorporating companion animals into our church communities.
The diocese in partnership several of our churches like St. Thomas' in Whitemarsh and The Church of St. Alban's in Roxborough are creating a worship community that allows people to bring in their companion animals for services and provides services like free vet check-ups, food and other needs.
