DIOPA Connections: Ongoing Events: Gift/Thrift Shops

The Catacomb Closet at Holy Trinity Church at 212 S.holytrinwestchest
High Street, West Chester, operates an upscale resale shop selling a
variety of housewares, books, jewelry, children’s toys, adult and children’s
clothing, pictures, entertaining and decorative glassware, as well as
seasonal items at bargain prices. It is open to the general public every Friday
from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All proceeds are donated to charitable
organizations within our community and the Diocese and to those causes
affected by tragic world events.

christchpottsthriftChrist Episcopal Church, Pottstown’s “Second Chance’ Thrift Shoppe
is open with our fall/winter fashions and housewares. Our hours are Wednesday mornings from
8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. SCTS serves our community with very affordable items, and if there is a
verified financial need, vouchers are available through our clergy. We operate solely on the generous
contributions from our parish family and friends. The income generated for our Church aids in
emergency expenses and helps to purchase items that are needed for the church but not covered in
the general budget. We are truly blessed to often receive some very “high end” household goods and
“designer” clothing. Stop in to see us – we are sure you will be pleased and will perhaps find that
“treasure” you are looking for.
