4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
St. Mary's Episcopal Church 104 Louella Avenue Wayne, Pennsylvania 19087
The 16th century choral music of Tudor England will be contrasted with the music of 21st century composer John Tavener in a Choral Evensong by the Choir of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Wayne on November 3.
Tudor composers will contrast dramatically with the sonorous motets of the mystical composer, John Tavener.
Rich harmonies of contrasting eras, combined with beautiful language and solemn liturgy provide for a musical event of introspection and inspiration. The Choir is under the direction of organist and choirmaster Dr. Gordon Turk. All are invited to attend.
