Evensong for the Close of the Church Year at Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral (11/17/24)

The Cathedral welcomes new Cathedral Organist and composer Erik Meyer with an Evensong for the Close of the Church Year featuring his St. Martin's Service in E along with a rarely performed anthem by Elgar's close friend and collaborator Ivor Atkins, new introits and closing meditations by David Blackwell and Kerry Andrew, and a setting of the Iona Affirmation of Faith by Canon for Music Thomas Lloyd. At 3:45 the organ prelude will be Meyer's Organ Sonata. Thomas Lloyd conducts the Cathedral Singers and the Very Rev. Al Holland, Interim Dean, will officiate.
