The Acorn Club, 1519 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
The Episcopal Church Club of Philadelphia (ECCP) will hold its fourth luncheon of the season on Tuesday, March 19, at The Acorn Club, 1519 Locust Street, Philadelphia. Our guests will be The Reverend Sherri Deetz and John A. Miller. They will speak on “The Widows Corporation: 250 Years of Becoming.” Sherry Deetz is Chaplain of The Widows Corporation, a non-profit in existence for 250 years, with a fundamental mission of providing support for the surviving spouses, children and other eligible beneficiaries of deceased Episcopal clergy in the five dioceses of Pennsylvania. In recent years the mission has expanded to include the wellbeing of living clergy and their families. This expanded mission is at the heart of what she looks forward to sharing with us.
The program will start with social hour at 12 noon, followed by the luncheon at 12:30 and then the presentation. The price for the luncheon is $35 per person. There will be a cash bar for those who wish wine or other refreshments, including non-alcoholic beverages. Discounted parking is available at LAZ Self Park, 1500 Locust Street.
