Dismantling Racism for Teens 2021

Two-Day Event to Help Episcopal Youth Connect Their Faith with Racial Healing in Our City

Using the outstanding curriculum "Dismantling Racism: A Youth Curriculum," this two-day event will help middle and high school youth have conversations about race and build relationships to address systemic racism in their context. The goal is to help youth connect their faith with racial healing in our communities. To register contact Meredith Wiggins,

The event is free for all attendees. This is a two-day commuter event held at the Episcopal Mission Center in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Episcopal Youth (aged 13+) may register for this training. Priority will be given to youth from the Diocese of Pennsylvania.

Full attendance is required at BOTH Saturday and Sunday sessions:

  • Saturday, November 20, 2921, 10:00 am – 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 21, 2021, 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday's schedule includes morning worship at St. Luke's, Germantown.

Attendance is also required for a short Orientation Meeting on Zoom on Wednesday, November 3, 7:00 - 8:00pm.  This meeting is for parents/caregivers and youth together.

"Dismantling Racism: A Youth Curriculum" was developed by the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and the Absalom Jones Center for the national Episcopal Church.
