Fleming Rutledge speaks at the 2019 Clergy Conference

A virtual binder of the agenda and details is available now to all registrants. Please email Jeremiah Mustered, jmustered@diopa.org,  if you did not receive those details. If you have not registered please contact Mr. Mustered.

This year's conference features Fleming Rutledge, who is widely recognized in the United States, in Canada, and in the UK not only as a preacher and lecturer, but also as one who teaches other preachers. Her most recent book, Three Hours: Sermons for Good Friday was released in January 2019(Eerdmans).  Rutledge’s particular expertise is the intersection of Biblical theology with contemporary culture, current events and politics, literature, music and art. She has been invited to preach in prominent pulpits such as the Washington National Cathedral, the Duke University Chapel, Trinity Church in Boston, and the Harvard Memorial Chapel.

The 2019 Conference will begin with dinner on Monday evening and conclude with a boxed lunch on Wednesday. The fee for this year’s conference is $195, which includes gratuity for the hotel staff. Scholarships will be available upon request. Lodging is free for spouses and partners, and an optional meal plan will be available for spouses and partners. Childcare is also available.

What you can expect this year:

Great fellowship, inspiring talks, Byron’s best books, free time to visit downtown Cape May in (hopefully!) beautiful Springtime, and opportunities for spiritual formation and self-care. Hearts and Minds Bookstore will set up shop at our Spring Conference.

Please contact Jeremiah Mustered at the Offices of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania (jmustered@diopa.org), Benjamin Gildas (fatherbenjamingildas@gmail.com), or Jill LaRoche Wikel (jlarowils@gmail.com) if you have any questions.
