Victoria Hoppes grew up in a military family, but moved to Philadelphia from San Antonio, TX in February 2013. Prior to working with diocesan staff, Victoria served as the Youth Director of St. John Lutheran Church in Marion, TX and on several summer camp teams for Cross Trails Ministry in Kerrville, TX. She holds a B.A. in Dramatic Media and Theology from Texas Lutheran University and a Certificate in Youth & Family Ministry from Forma’s Faith Formation Academy. She is currently pursuing a M.A. in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry through the distributed learning program at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. Victoria has also served as a contributor and writer for faith formation resources through Spirit and Truth Publishing, as well as for the Episcopal Church’s Lesson Plans That Work.
As Associate for Youth & Camping Ministries, Victoria serves the Diocese of Pennsylvania through the development and execution of events and resources for diocesan youth. Some of these events and resources include Nightwatch, Junior and Senior High retreats, and curriculum. She also provides oversight to the City Camp program, including site recruitment; staff recruiting and training; program development; and administration. Victoria is also available to network with congregations and youth groups, provide resources for ministries, and lead trainings. She is also a certified Red Cross first aid/CPR instructor and can lead trainings in congregations.
