The Diocese of Pennsylvania Welcomes Andrew Kuhn and Sarah Hedgis

It is with great pleasure that we welcome two new members of the Diocesan staff. Andrew Kuhn has assumed the position of Director of Family and Young Adult Ministries, and Sarah Hedgis has joined us as Director of the Episcopal Mission Center, a ministry within the Family and Young Adult Ministries group.

Andrew Kuhn comes to us with a depth of experience working with families and young people, most recently as the long-time Director of Family Ministries at St. David’s Episcopal Church, and before that as a teacher and coach. He has written curriculum, created a mentoring program, shown a commitment to outreach and demonstrated a breadth of vision which will assist us in growing our faith development and Christian discipleship programs among young families.

Andrew is a graduate of Shippensburg University, and has an M.A. from Immaculata University in Educational Leadership. He will be responsible for overseeing the current capable leadership of the Servant Year program, City Camps, The Mission Center, and the continuing endeavors in the Diocese of Pennsylvania to enhance faith formation in our communities.

Sarah Hedgis brings with her a variety of experience in lay leadership in the church and in education in the wider community, including work as a prison chaplain, as a curriculum developer and theology instructor, as a leader of young adult ministry in a congregational setting, and as the Operations Coordinator for Scholar Academies in Philadelphia.

She is a graduate of Mercer University, and obtained her M. Div. from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, as well as a Certificate in Anglican Studies from General Theological Seminary. She is about to be ordained as an Episcopal priest. Sarah is creative and energetic and we look forward to her leadership of the Episcopal Mission Center as it takes shape in the Diocese of Pennsylvania.

Please join us in welcoming both Andrew and Sarah to our staff!
