RE: Pre-Convention Meetings
Following are the Uniform Guidelines for Pre-convention Deanery Meetings as stated by the Deans of our Deaneries:
1) State name, parish, deanery
2) Only speak if adding something new no repeating others statements
3) Talk about ideas and proposals not people
4) All ideas are allowed to be heard and anyone who is a convention delegate may speak
5) Questions for clarification should be provided for
6) There should be a time limit on speaking – 2 minute rule
7) Further discussion time can be offered for after the meeting
8) Non delegates can only speak through their elected delegates
9) Provide a safe environment for all
10) Clear explanations should be provided about all issues for new delegates
11) Canonical issues should be addressed by resolutions committee
