Process for Applying for Diocesan Financial Assistance in 2008
As you may know, financial assistance from the diocese to a parish is a line item on the Program Budget. Requests for financial assistance are considered by the Financial Assistance Committee, a sub-committee of the Finance and Property Committee. The committee reviews requests in the Spring for inclusion in the Program Budget presented at Convention in the Fall for spending in the next calendar year. Thus, decisions on assistance for 2007 have already been made and are included in the 2007 Program Budget that was presented at Convention this past November.
