New Face of Volunteer Services at ECS

Episcopal Community Services welcomes Mike Giansiracusa as development officer for volunteer services and parish relations.

“We are excited to have Mike on our team,” said Kim Shiley, director of development and communications at ECS. “His work will be key to our strategy to further involve parishes, organizations and individuals in the mission of ECS.”

Giansiracusa comes to ECS from Romero Center Ministries where he managed urban retreats combining faith and volunteer work in Camden.

“I am excited to work in a collaborative environment in the Episcopal tradition where I will be able to foster relationships between parishes and our brothers and sisters who struggle the most,” Giansiracusa said. “Financial support, in-kind gifts and personal connections between our supporters and the people we serve have tremendous potential to transform the hearts of everyone involved.”

Giansiracusa is a seminarian in the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania and received a doctorate in ministry and social justice education from Episcopal Divinity School. He has taught theology and English at several local high schools and colleges. He and his wife, Renee, live in New Jersey with their six-year old son, Michael.
