November 1, 2011 / Dear Parish ECW Presidents: The 47th Triennial Meeting of the Episcopal Church Women-ECW will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, July 2012. At the Triennial, a Diocesan Distinguished Woman Award will be presented to a deserving woman in each diocese of the Episcopal Church. This award was formerly referred to as the Honored Women Award.
I ask that you give careful thought and nominate a woman whose life in the secular community reflects her Christian values. Tell us her history and why you believe she deserves the name “Distinguished Woman”.
Attached is a form that must be completed, and sent with a 4×5 photograph, in color if possible, on or before December 2, 2011. If your nominee is selected, her biography and photograph will be printed in the 2012 Distinguished Woman Booklet to be distributed at Triennial.
