Full Time Sexton Position at Christ Church
This is a full time hourly position (40 hour) with flexible work hour. Candidate will be required to work some evening and/or weekend hours for church events or while rental groups are in building. Must be in good physical condition and possess the ability to lift heavy tables. As a representative of the Church, the candidate must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times with a good personal appearance and cleanliness. Benefit package included, to be discussed at time of interview.
Summary of essential job functions:
- General cleaning and maintenance of buildings, grounds and offices
- Follow maintenance schedule and keep a log of major cleaning projects
- Trash removal
- Boiler maintenance and service schedule
- Event set-up & break-down per instructions
- Ground maintenance (leaf & snow removal as necessary)
- Maintain equipment, automatic timers, and watering systems.
- Monitor evening rental space while performing assigned tasks
- Building security
- Janitorial supplies: inventory, account for & order; budgeting accounting
- Assist in wedding & funeral functions as assigned
- Schedule/supervise extra cleaning services, contract workers,
- Other duties as assigned
Candidates will be required to complete an application & supply two references. The Diocese of Pennsylvania also requires a background check prior to hiring.
