Safe Church Training

WHAT: Free of charge, this course is aimed at making the Church a safer place for all of its members by preventing sexual harassment and exploitation among adults and abuse of children. Certificates are awarded at completion of course. A light snack will be provided.

WHEN: October 13 and 14, 2008 | 6:30pm – 9pm

WHERE: Hass Hall, St. Thomas’, Whitemarsh, Bethlehem Pike and Camp Hill Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034

HOW: You must register by phone or e-mail, no later than October 10, 2008.

All Clergy, canonically resident or licensed, including retired, non-stipendiary, non-parochial are required to attend; clergy who will be employed by the diocese who have not yet taken this training are required to attend.

All Church Employees are required to attend.

All Church Volunteers who regularly supervise youth activities are required to attend; Sunday School teachers are exempt but are encouraged to attend.

Lay Leaders, Pastoral Care Givers such as Lay Eucharist Ministers are encouraged to attend.
