Journey of the Beloved Workshop

Thom Chu, Director of Ministries with Young People in the National Episcopal Church, will help us learn about developing a contemplative approach to youth ministry, where adults model a healthy and balanced lifestyle of prayer, study, and discernment, and learn how congregations across the church have taken steps slow down their way of relating with youth.
You will go home with practical suggestions for reshaping your personal practice of ministry, introducing spiritual discernment into your decision-making and relating with young people. This workshop is suitable for clergy, youth ministry, youth volunteers and parents. Thom Chu has served on the Presiding Bishop’s staff since 1989 in a number of roles in congregational development, young adult, higher education ministries and ministries with young people.
