Welcome to the Twenty-ninth Annual National Acolyte Festival at Washington National Cathedral, which will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008. The Festival Service of Holy Eucharist with Rededication of Acolytes will occur at 10am, followed by optional lunch and a variety of workshops and tours.

On behalf of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and the Washington National Cathedral, we encourage your registration for this year’s festival. Please bring processional crosses, banners, torches, thuribles, flags, and other liturgical items for the festive procession of acolytes. If your congregation has a liturgical dance troupe, they are also invited to take part in this procession. Plan to stay for lunch on the grounds before enjoying the afternoon’s workshops.

An information-only phone number is available at (202) 537-3122 for those who do not have internet access. While we cannot return phone calls, we will be happy to respond to e-mail messages sent to acolytefestival@cathedral.org.
