Convention Ushers Needed
Dear Friends of the Diocese of Pennsylvania;
In preparation for Convention each year we seek willing volunteers from across the Diocese to assist our brethren in their duties during this important day of business and discernment for our Church. Inasmuch as possible, we try to have represented the full spectrum of communities that make up our diverse and historic Diocese.
Please consider serving as an usher at Convention this year. As you know, Convention is on Saturday, November 5th. Ushers will need to be able to arrive at the Convention Center early (7:45am) and remain until the end of the day (about 5:00pm). In addition, we hope to have a walk through and orientation meeting at the Convention Center on Friday evening for an hour. The only requirements for this post are able bodied persons with access to email and in possession of a cell phone.
As we are nearing the final days of preparation for the Convention, we wish to solidify our roster of ushers by Monday, October 24th. If you are willing to volunteer or have questions about ushering at Convention, please email me at ushers@PhiladelphiaCathedral.org.
Clergy are urged to encourage their congregants to consider this invitation to serve.
