Nominations

The deadline for submitting biographical statements has now passed. Nominations of names by Petition may still be done until October 6, 2010

The Nominating Committee is seeking lay and clergy candidates to stand for election at Diocesan Convention. You may propose yourself or someone else as a nominee.

Positions open

Lay and clergy candidates are being sought this year to serve on: Christmas Fund, Church Foundation Board, Clergy Salaries and Pensions, Diocesan Review, Finance and Property, General Convention Deputies and Standing Committee. Terms and position descriptions for each of these may be found at Positions Open.

Submit a nomination

To propose a name to the Nominating Committee contact co-chairs The Rev. Hentzi Elek or Ms. Debora Brown via e-mail or telephone. Names must be received by August 16.

The person proposed must submit a biographical statement online by August 16. This statement will aid the Nominating Committee in determining the slate and will be posted on the Diocesan website. The slate of candidates will be announced by September 6.

The Nominating Committee is charged with presenting a slate of candidates who will, in their determination, best serve the Diocese. Proposing a name to the Nominating Committee does not guarantee being named as a candidate on the slate.

It is also possible to nominate a candidate—yourself or someone else—by petition using the nomination form. Nominations by petition must be submitted by October 6, accompanied by a biographical statement.
