Nominations

The Nominating Committee is seeking lay and clergy candidates to stand for election at Diocesan Convention. You may propose yourself or someone else as a nominee.

Positions open

Lay and clergy candidates are being sought this year to serve on/as: Church Foundation Board, Clergy Salaries & Pensions, Deputy to Provincial Synod, Diocesan Review, Ecclesiastical Trial Court, Finance & Property Committee, and the Standing Committee. Terms and position descriptions for each of these may be found at Positions Open.

Submit a nomination

The Nominating Committee is charged with presenting a slate of candidates who will, in their determination, best serve the Diocese. Proposing a name to the Nominating Committee does not guarantee being named as a candidate on the slate.


NOMINATE VIA PHONE OR EMAIL: To propose a name to the Nominating Committee contact co-chairs Jan Ross or Ledlie Laughlin. Names must be received by August 15 and be accompanied by a bio.

NOMINATION BY PETITION: It is also possible to nominate a candidate—yourself or someone else—by petition using the online Nomination Form. Please be sure to also fill out the online Biographical Statement. Petitions must be received by October 1 and be accompanied by a bio.

BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT: The person proposed must submit a Biographical Statement online. This statement will aid the Nominating Committee in determining the slate and will be posted on the Diocesan website. The most current slate of candidates will be announced by September 6.
