St James the Greater Church of Bristol, Pa invites one and all to bring their Nativity Creches to the 2nd Annual Creche Blessing and Display held at the Parish Hall on Sunday December 2nd from 6pm to 8pm. This first Sunday in Advent, in a Blessing Service led by Rev. Barbara Rivers and the Sunday School children, we will ask the Lord's Blessing of all the individual family creches. A reception will follow with refreshments of nut/fruit breads and beverages. The Creche Shop will have a variety of new creches available for purchase. A raffle for a Porcelain Creche Set will also take place. The creche, as the first decoration of the season in our homes during Advent, a symbolic gesture and important reminder to put Christ first as the center of our holiday preparation and celebration. Creches for the display may be brought to the Parish Hall beginning Sun. Nov. 25th thru Sat. Dec 1st. The Creche Display will be available to the public at the Parish Hall on Saturday Dec 1st - 12pm to 3pm, on Sunday Dec 2 - 9am to 12pm and at The Blessing- 6pm to 8pm. ( So don't forget to climb up in the attic, dig out the family creche and have it ready. Why not do this at Thanksgiving?) For more information call Rev.
