From the Middle Ages onwards Corpus Christi has become of the greatest feasts of the church’s year – and now also an opportunity to see and hear St. Clement’s Philadelphia at its very best.

Join us on Thursday, May 22nd at 7:00pm for our Corpus Christi High Mass with Procession of the Blessed Sacrament & Benediction. The Rector will preach. During the procession we will use our recently acquired spectacular Blessed Sacrament Canopy. This was made in the late Nineteenth Century for an abbey in Belgium from cloth of gold with heavy bullion.

St. Clement’s Choir, under the direction of Organist & Choirmaster Peter Richard Conte, will be accompanied by an orchestra. The evening’s music programme will include – Franz Josef Haydn: Missa ‘Kleine Orgelmesse’ (with orchestra). Offertorium: William Byrd, Sacerdotes Domini.
