DIOPA at the 2016 National Acolyte Festival

On October 8th, parishes from across the country gathered at the Washington National Cathedral for the National Acolyte Festival. The day began with a festal Eucharist with a service of rededication to the ministry of acolytes. The Right Reverend V. Gene Robinson, Bishop of New Hampshire, presided and preached. The service also included a procession of all the acolytes present. After lunch, participants explored the National Cathedral and participated in workshops on a variety of topics, including: the role of the Verger, using streamers, the ministry of the thurifer, and the always-popular presentation on the Gargoyles of the Cathedral. The Diocese of Pennsylvania was well-represented! More photos are included on the Diopa Youth Ministry Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/diopaym/
